Traffic Management Operative

Overview

Circet UK is recruiting experienced Traffic Management Operatives for its Indian Queens team in Cornwall. The role reports to the Operations Manager and focuses on the installation, upkeep, and removal of site-based traffic management arrangements.

What you'll do

• Set up, maintain, and remove complex traffic management schemes across both rural and urban road networks.
• Take part in site meetings with customers, local authorities, and other relevant third parties.
• Survey and help design traffic management layouts, using risk factors and traffic counts to support the creation of TM plans.

Required experience and skills

• Strong verbal communication and presentation ability.
• Comfort handling several tasks at once while adjusting to shifting priorities.
• Previous experience in traffic management.
• Trained and qualified to implement temporary traffic management arrangements.
• Sector Scheme 12D qualification.
• Full driving licence.
• Trailer licence.
• Availability to work weekends.

Preferred background

• Experience in a fast-moving, quick-turnaround setting.
• Willingness to work flexibly with open availability.
• Working knowledge of online systems.

Health and safety

You will be expected to follow all relevant legislation and regulations, along with the company health and safety policy, to help reduce accidents, fines, and compensation claims. The role also involves identifying training needs and working with the HSEQ team to arrange any required courses. Failing to maintain a safe and secure environment may lead to disciplinary action.
