Truck Driver

Role overview

Transmed is seeking a truck driver to carry out deliveries in a careful, professional, and accurate way. The role focuses on safe driving, preventing accidents, confirming quantities delivered with customers, and meeting quality assurance expectations.

Product delivery

• Operate delivery trucks responsibly, following quality and safety guidelines and avoiding damage.
• Reverse and park vehicles at customer locations without harming people or property.
• Follow instructions from supervisors whenever required.
• Treat customer employees and premises with respect at all times.
• Check delivered goods with customer representatives to ensure quantities match exactly, and make sure invoices are signed and payment by cash or cheque is collected according to delivery terms.

Housekeeping and maintenance

• Maintain a high standard of personal presentation and hygiene in line with company expectations.
• Keep the truck clean and orderly at all times.
• Ensure the vehicle remains in proper working condition and immediately report any fault or defect to the supervisor and maintenance manager.

Qualifications

• Secondary school education must be completed.
• A valid Ghana driving licence class C is required.
• The candidate should be capable of driving safely, identifying routes, and recognizing customer locations so deliveries are completed promptly and efficiently.
