Overview
Marc Jacobs International is hiring a Visual Merchandising Coordinator to work from its SoHo headquarters in New York City. The role supports the delivery of high-impact visual merchandising programs across North America, spanning full-price stores, outlet locations, and wholesale accounts. You will work with the regional visual merchandising team, store teams, internal partners, and external vendors to keep brand presentation consistent, execute initiatives accurately, and share information on time.
The company is looking for someone who is highly organized, attentive to detail, creatively inclined, and comfortable working in a busy retail setting. Strong communication skills, a hands-on approach, and an interest in luxury fashion and brand storytelling are key.
Visual Merchandising Execution
This position helps plan, coordinate, and roll out seasonal visual merchandising programs across North America. You will support floor sets, window displays, product launches, showrooms, and other in-store activations. A major part of the role is making sure brand standards and visual guidelines are applied consistently, while also working with field teams to solve local execution issues and adapt plans when needed.
Communication and Documentation
You will help prepare visual merchandising guidelines, presentation materials, and communication decks. The role also includes supporting seasonal directives, sharing best practices, and building training resources. In addition, you will coordinate the delivery of visual updates to stores and regional teams while keeping calendars and project timelines organized.
Store Support and Reporting
The coordinator reviews store imagery and provides feedback to help ensure compliance with brand expectations. You will monitor the progress of visual initiatives, follow up with stores when needed, and maintain reporting tools, feedback logs, and project trackers. The role also supports store openings, remodels, relocations, and pop-up events.
Cross-Functional Partnership
You will work closely with Retail Operations, Merchandising, Marketing, Store Design, and Commercial teams. The position also supports marketing campaigns, seasonal launches, and promotional events, while coordinating vendor communication and project logistics tied to visual merchandising work. Building productive relationships with store teams is an important part of the job.
Administrative and Organizational Support
Additional responsibilities include sample management, shipment coordination, and maintaining accurate records, project files, and visual archives.
Qualifications
Applicants should have 1 to 3 years of experience in visual merchandising, retail, or fashion. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, Excel, and Adobe Creative Suite is required, with Photoshop and InDesign preferred. The role calls for excellent organization, project management, communication, and presentation skills, along with the ability to manage several priorities at once in a fast-moving environment. Willingness to travel as needed is expected, and candidates must be able to lift more than 40 lbs.
Success Factors
Success in this role depends on strong attention to detail, a genuine enthusiasm for fashion and luxury retail, a collaborative mindset, and a practical, solution-focused attitude. The ideal candidate can balance creativity with operational discipline while supporting local business needs.
Compensation and Benefits
Pay will be based on the candidate’s relevant skills and experience. The benefits package includes paid holidays, vacation, sick time, personal time, medical coverage, dental coverage, vision insurance, and 401(k) matching. Employees also get access to travel, entertainment, and other discounts through a partner program, along with Marc Jacobs product discounts throughout the year and discounts on selected LVMH brands.
