Role Summary
This position is part of the lumberyard team and is suited to someone who enjoys active outdoor work and collaborating with others. The role helps keep the yard organized, safe, and efficient while supporting customers with their lumber and building material needs.
Key Duties
- Offer knowledgeable guidance and hands-on help to customers selecting lumber and building materials
- Help load products safely and efficiently for customers
- Review invoices and confirm the right items are being supplied
- Support day-to-day yard maintenance, including unloading trucks, sorting lumber, arranging inventory, cleaning, applying price labels, and keeping pallets and stock tidy
- Keep the work area clean and safe for both customers and employees
- Handle opening and closing tasks in the yard when required
- Complete other related duties to help store operations run smoothly
Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
- Prior knowledge of building materials is considered an advantage
