Role overview
This position is for an Accountant in Singapore. The role covers the complete accounting cycle and requires accurate financial and management reporting in line with statutory obligations.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and oversee a team of Accounts Receivable staff.
- Handle month-end financial close activities and compile/review regular management reports.
- Prepare, examine, and track balance sheet reconciliations.
- Compile quarterly statements, year-end statutory reports, and tax computations.
- Support the creation of forecasts and budgets.
- Maintain robust internal controls and ensure they are properly followed.
- Take on other finance-related tasks or projects as assigned by the Finance Manager or Financial Controller.
Candidate profile
- A Degree in Accountancy, ACCA, or an equivalent professional qualification is required.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience is preferred, ideally from FMCG or retail, along with team management experience in an accounts function.
- Prior exposure to ERP/Oracle integrated systems is expected.
