Role Overview
This position provides administrative and personnel support at Eglin Air Force Base, FL, with a focus on scheduling, coordination, correspondence, and office operations. The role also supports military personnel systems and helps keep organizational records, meetings, and communications organized and current.
Key Duties
- Track, organize, and update schedules and calendars for the organization.
- Resolve schedule conflicts and coordinate organizational commitments, meetings, and conferences.
- Build and maintain databases and rosters, review outgoing correspondence for accuracy, and manage office mail distribution.
- Help plan meetings and conferences by preparing agendas and presentations, arranging logistics, capturing action items, tracking follow-ups, and supporting venue security needs.
- Keep official bulletins, displays, and announcements up to date.
- Serve as backup to the Unit Personnel Coordinator and support in-processing and out-processing for military, civilian, and contractor staff.
- Assist with human resources tasks and support operation of MILPDS, MyFSS, BLSDM, and Military Leave Web.
Required Qualifications
The role calls for a Master’s degree and more than 10 years of relevant experience, although customer approval may allow work experience to replace the education requirement. Candidates must hold an active Secret clearance, be able to communicate effectively with different stakeholders, work well within a team, and demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills, including technical writing. Proficiency with Microsoft Office is also required.
Desired Background
Helpful experience includes working with MILPDS, MyFSS, and BLSDM, as well as prior test conductor experience with military systems. Strong organizational ability and communication skills are especially valued.
Security and Travel
The position requires maintaining a Secret security clearance and eligibility for Special Access Programs. The selected candidate must also be willing to travel up to 10%.
