Where you'll work

ജോലി വിവരണം

The opportunity

This role sits inside a team that runs production-grade agentic AI systems for real insurance claims at DAX-listed insurers. The work is hands-on and operational: you will be embedded in active pilots, find opportunities where AI can replace manual effort, and help design repeatable systems that can scale reliably. A major part of the position is becoming the team’s in-house specialist on frontier AI, with a particular focus on Claude.

You will work closely with the founders, who bring prior BCG leadership experience, as well as senior AI engineers with backgrounds at major tech companies. The role also includes direct exposure to C-level insurance stakeholders, where you will contribute to delivery quality, product excellence, and account growth. In the early phase, however, the day-to-day work is grounded in processing claims, resolving edge cases, and shipping improvements with AI.

What you will do

  • Develop strong, practical expertise with Claude, including prompt design, context handling, multi-step reasoning, structured outputs, and agentic workflows.
  • Assess which prompts and workflows truly hold up in large-scale production settings, not just in demonstrations.
  • Follow model updates closely, experiment with new releases quickly, and separate real capability gains from marketing noise.
  • Support enterprise pilot launches from the first claim through to full operational rollout.
  • Step in when issues arise, troubleshoot operational problems, and keep pilots moving toward conversion and expansion.
  • Map manual workflows, pinpoint failure points, and redesign processes into automated systems.
  • Write SOPs, set up review queues, configure AI pipelines, and maintain output quality appropriate for a large regulated insurer.
  • Define and track quality standards quantitatively, ensuring the output meets measurable performance thresholds.
  • Identify bottlenecks, shorten cycle times, and hand over documented systems that can run without constant intervention.
  • Build solutions that remain stable and effective as volume grows.

How the role evolves

Start phase: You will learn by doing, not by reading a manual. Your work will include data structuring, analysis of client feedback, and automation of smaller subprocesses. This phase is meant to help you understand how the business operates at its core and to build a strong practical foundation.

Year 1: You move deeper into operational detail. Responsibilities include claims processing, support for client reviews, and building end-to-end automated workflows. You will also deepen your AI skill set through experiments, iteration, and direct use of the tools, while gaining more strategic exposure through pilot lifecycles and C-level discussions.

Year 2 and beyond: Future paths depend on your track record and what you create. Potential directions include owning a major enterprise account end-to-end, leading AI solutions and delivery across clients, or returning to pilot execution to set an even higher benchmark for speed and quality.

Requirements

  • A strong academic record or an equivalent signal of exceptional ability.
  • 0 to 3 years of experience in demanding environments such as consulting, banking, or a BizOps/strategy role at a venture-backed startup.
  • Hands-on experience with Claude or similar frontier AI tools, including extensive prompting and an understanding of where these systems break down.
  • Analytical thinking and comfort working with models, data interpretation, and decision-making from outputs.
  • Solid project management instincts with the ability to identify blockers, keep work moving, and close loops proactively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for both client-facing and internal updates.
  • Fluency in German and English.
  • A client-first mindset focused on the insurer’s outcomes and the end customer experience.
  • A high bar for quality, especially in regulated, customer-facing AI outputs.
  • Strong ownership mentality and the willingness to stay with a problem until it is resolved.
  • Low ego and comfort starting with operational work before earning broader scope.

Benefits and details

  • Competitive compensation with meaningful equity upside.
  • On-site work in Berlin.
  • Early-stage opportunity with the chance to shape the company’s culture, processes, and product direction.
  • Learning from experienced operators and AI builders with backgrounds in enterprise delivery and major technology companies.
  • The opportunity to work on real production use cases with visible impact within weeks.
  • An ownership-driven environment where building durable systems is recognized and rewarded.
  • EU work authorization is required.

Experience progression

The role is framed as a progression from initial operational execution to deeper ownership over time. Early responsibilities focus on learning through direct work in claims processing and automation. In the next stage, the emphasis shifts toward independent workflow building and client-facing delivery. Longer term, the position can develop into account ownership, AI solutions leadership, or advanced pilot execution depending on performance and business needs.
