Role summary

British Cycling is hiring an Art Worker on a fixed-term basis through August 2027. This role sits within the Creative Studio and supports the delivery of visual assets for some of the UK’s most high-profile cycling events and wider participation work. The position is based in Manchester and is suited to a recent graduate or someone at the beginning of their creative career who is eager to learn, has strong production skills, and pays close attention to detail.

About British Cycling

British Cycling is building a more modern commercial and events approach centred on social value and storytelling. The organisation supports a community of over 140,000 members and the wider 27 million people in the UK who ride bicycles, whether for sport, leisure, travel, or elite competition. Its work connects to major national and international events, athlete success on the world stage, and programmes designed to create positive social impact.

In 2027, the UK will host the Grand Départ of both the Tour de France and the Tour de France Femme, Avec Zwift, marking the first time both races have started in the same country outside France. Alongside these events, a large social impact programme will run across the UK with aims that include reducing inactivity, improving mental wellbeing, supporting economic growth, and helping communities thrive.

A Special Purpose Vehicle called Grand Départ GB 2027 will oversee event delivery and manage public funding on behalf of DCMS, the Scottish Government, the Welsh Government, and UK Sport. This SPV is a joint venture between UKEL, a new sports events company, and British Cycling. British Cycling will be responsible for operational and business functions, social impact and volunteer programmes, and all consumer-facing activity on behalf of the partners.
