ജോലി വിവരണം
Role overview
As an Associate User Researcher, you’ll join a collaborative team focused on studying player behavior across major gaming franchises. You’ll work with internal studio partners to run research studies, interpret player feedback, and turn findings into recommendations that inform game design. During your first year, you’ll strengthen your ability to plan and carry out in-person and remote studies, analyze data, and support presentations and reports with the help of senior researchers.
This position is based in Sherman Oaks and follows an onsite schedule of three days per week, Tuesday through Thursday. The company may adjust work arrangements when business needs require it.
Key responsibilities
- Support and occasionally take the lead on user testing sessions, including setting up the lab, tearing it down afterward, welcoming and checking out participants, and running the study.
- Evaluate game builds and collect participant feedback during research activities.
- Create study outlines, surveys, and written reports with direction from senior team members.
- Perform basic data preparation, analysis, and synthesis to help shape conclusions.
- Share research findings and practical recommendations with studio stakeholders.
- Translate player behavior and study outcomes into guidance for design improvements.
- Keep research lab equipment working properly, including consoles, laptops, and streaming tools.
- Help new teammates get oriented and share knowledge across the team.
Experience and qualifications
The role calls for at least 1 year of user research experience for console video games, or 2 years of user testing experience for websites or apps. A bachelor’s degree in psychology, human-computer interaction, human factors, marketing, communications, market research, or a related discipline is expected. You should have experience running structured studies with participants from different backgrounds, along with strong written and verbal communication, solid organization, and good analytical ability.
Extra value is given to candidates who have worked on research for first-person shooter games, used research or survey tools, applied data analysis techniques, or supported usability testing in game development settings.
What will help you succeed
You’ll do well in this role if you genuinely enjoy user research and video games, adapt quickly in a fast-moving environment, work well with others, solve problems effectively, and bring curiosity and attention to detail.
