Automation Test Engineer (Python)

About the Role

Intetics is hiring an Automation Test Engineer with Python expertise for a long-term banking engagement. The company is a US-based technology organization known for custom software development, building distributed engineering teams, quality assessment for software products, and delivering complete digital solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and guide fellow testers during defined testing tasks.
• Create and refine test scenarios and test cases ready for execution.
• Record test outcomes in a way that keeps full traceability.
• Run tests and maintain accurate, current progress status.
• Identify, document, and track defects to support analysis and resolution.
• Set up and support the required test environments.
• Bring risks and impediments to the attention of the Test Manager.
• Make sure test coverage is properly reflected in standard and closure reporting.
• Build and run automated test cases using Python and Behave.
• Take part in daily stand-ups and squad-level meetings.

Working Conditions

The role follows BST working hours. A strong B1+ level of English is expected, along with a high degree of initiative and ownership.

Experience and Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience in retail banking.
• A degree, advanced degree, or equivalent practical experience.
• Practical exposure to multiple areas of systems testing.
• Solid understanding of testing processes, methods, and industry best practices.
• Good familiarity with testing in Agile environments.
• Experience leading small to mid-sized technical teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a quality-focused approach.
• Clear communication skills and the ability to help the team align on important decisions.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in Python and Behave.
• Experience working with AWS services.
• Hands-on use of automation testing tools.

Preferred Experience

• Background with savings products in the banking domain is an advantage.

Additional Information

This is a full-time onsite position based in Germany.
