Role Overview

This full-time, on-site position in Al Ain requires a Barista who can prepare and serve hot and cold coffee drinks, teas, and specialty beverages following established recipes and presentation standards. The role also involves operating espresso and café equipment, processing cash and POS transactions, and keeping the bar area and seating space neat and well organized.

Key Duties

• Make and serve a range of coffee, tea, and specialty drinks in line with the cafe’s standards.
• Use espresso machines and other café equipment correctly and safely.
• Handle customer orders, payments, and POS transactions with accuracy.
• Welcome guests, answer menu-related questions, and provide polite, attentive service.
• Maintain cleanliness and order across the bar, service area, and seating area.
• Replenish supplies and assist with basic food preparation or pastry display when needed.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation practices at all times.
• Support the team during busy service periods and contribute to smooth daily operations.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience making espresso-based beverages and other café drinks, with a focus on consistency, flavor, and presentation.
• Strong guest-service skills, including clear communication, active listening, and a courteous, professional approach.
• Ability to stay organized, manage multiple tasks, and work efficiently in a fast-moving setting.
• Basic experience with cash handling and POS systems, including payment processing and receipt reconciliation.
• Good understanding of food hygiene, safety, and cleanliness requirements, along with a commitment to maintaining a tidy workspace.
• Availability for changing shifts, including early mornings, weekends, and public holidays.
• Previous café or barista experience is an advantage, though motivated candidates willing to learn may also be considered.
• Comfortable using English; knowledge of other languages is a plus.
