Role Overview

Boardwalk is hiring a Building Maintenance Worker in Kitchener, Ontario. This is a full-time, on-site role focused on keeping suites, shared spaces, and building systems in good condition while delivering strong service to residents and supporting site operations.

What You Will Do

• Respond to maintenance requests within 72 hours of receipt.
• Handle emergency maintenance calls as part of an on-call rotation.
• Complete maintenance and light repair work in vacant suites, including touch-ups that meet established quality standards.
• Carry out routine maintenance in common areas and throughout the building.
• Work with the Customer Care Team to arrange inspections for turnover suites.
• Perform preventive maintenance checks and document findings.
• Confirm that contractors finish their work to the required quality standard.
• Help with snow removal when needed.
• Take on additional duties and support other sites as required.

Experience and Education

• A minimum of 2 years of maintenance service experience is required.
• Background in renovation work for 3 years is considered an advantage.

Technical and Workplace Requirements

• Strong spoken and written English skills are needed.
• Comfort using technology is considered an asset.
• All tools listed by the company must be secured before the end of the probationary period; the tool list will be shared during the interview.
• The role may require up to 8 hours of walking, standing, stair climbing, and lifting.
• You must be able to move loads of up to 90 kg with the proper equipment.
• You should be able to solve issues correctly on the first attempt.
• Excellent customer service, time management, and teamwork skills are important.
• A positive attitude, enthusiasm, and assertiveness are expected.

Additional Requirements

• A valid driver’s licence is required.
• You must have your own reliable vehicle.
