Role summary
DXC Technology is seeking a Business Development Manager in Singapore to lead consultative, relationship-led selling across the commercial sector, with a strong focus on Banking, Logistics, Shipping, and Manufacturing. In this role, you will position DXC’s strengths in AI, digital twin, and other emerging technologies to help senior business and technology leaders identify practical opportunities that create measurable value and support strategic transformation.
The position is centered on winning new logos and expanding strategic accounts within the commercial market. It calls for a well-connected professional with a strong presence in the industry, active engagement in relevant communities and forums, and the ability to influence executive stakeholders with clear, ROI-focused business narratives. You will report to the Managing Director and collaborate closely with the Commercial Sell Team, Solutioning Team, Business Services, Practice Leads, and the Innovation Lab to support long-term growth.
Key responsibilities
- Develop trusted, advisory-style relationships with clients so they rely on you for guidance, perspective, and insight.
- Build and maintain senior-level connections with business and technology decision-makers by understanding their priorities, pain points, and sector dynamics.
- Bring forward meaningful ideas, observations, and relevant examples that influence client thinking and strengthen engagement.
- Research client environments thoroughly and prepare tailored, value-focused viewpoints for executive discussions.
- Encourage clients to consider and award DXC substantial transformation programs, typically worth more than $5M.
- Use DXC’s internal teams and alliance ecosystem to bring the full range of capabilities to each client opportunity.
- Work with Account Executives and client stakeholders to understand business goals, IT roadmaps, and leadership priorities.
- Co-create and refine concepts with clients so they support transformation objectives and value-realization outcomes.
- Prepare strong business cases that clearly show expected business impact, return on investment, and risk-versus-value considerations.
- Hand over qualified opportunities to Sales Professionals and Solution Architects while ensuring the solution fits the client’s requirements.
- Stay involved as a strategic advisor to help move deals forward and validate the value proposition.
- Drive pipeline generation, revenue expansion, and margin improvement across assigned accounts and prospects.
- Turn value-creation ideas into qualified opportunities that deepen DXC’s presence in target accounts.
- Lead selected early-stage activities such as strategic assessments, value-targeting exercises, and pilot initiatives.
- Contribute actively to account planning, pipeline reviews, and growth strategy sessions to support disciplined execution.
