Skillofy_ai is looking for a highly experienced and target-oriented Business Development Manager to drive growth in the Higher Education space. This position centers on expanding individual revenue through both direct-to-consumer and institutional channels, with a strong emphasis on high ownership and independent execution.
The role suits a skilled sales professional who has worked extensively in Higher Education, EdTech, or university partnerships. You will be responsible for increasing learner enrollments, strengthening relationships with educational institutions, and working across teams to grow the company’s footprint in the education market.
The ideal candidate should be comfortable advising career-focused learners, handling partnership discussions with universities and colleges, and closing consultative deals at scale.
Responsibilities
- Grow individual revenue by driving high-volume learner enrollments across B2C and institutional business streams.
- Develop and manage relationships with universities, colleges, placement cells, and other education partners.
- Handle consultative sales conversations and guide learners toward the right education solutions.
- Lead institutional negotiations and work toward closing partnership opportunities.
- Maintain a healthy sales pipeline and ensure complete CRM discipline with accurate funnel updates.
- Prepare dependable revenue forecasts based on pipeline quality and conversion progress.
- Collaborate with internal teams to support scaling efforts in the education market.
- Work independently in a remote setup with strong accountability and ownership.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of total sales experience, including a minimum of 4 years in Higher Education, EdTech, or university/college partnership roles.
- Demonstrated success in both B2C and institutional B2B selling, with a history of meeting high monthly revenue goals.
- Strong understanding of the Higher Education ecosystem, including universities, colleges, placement cells, corporate training, and academic alliances.
- Excellent spoken and written communication skills, along with confidence in presentations and negotiation.
- Strong CRM usage skills and the ability to maintain clean funnel data and reliable forecasts.
- Self-driven mindset with the ability to perform independently in a remote work environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a relevant field.
- Experience working with EdTech, SaaS, or digital learning marketplace sales.
- Familiarity with CRM platforms such as Zoho CRM, Salesforce, LeadSquared, or similar tools.
- Experience using professional networking and digital lead generation methods.
- Working knowledge of Data Science, AI, Machine Learning, or technology-enabled education programs.
- MBA or another advanced degree in Business, Management, or a related area is preferred.
- An established network across higher education institutions, colleges, universities, or training organizations is an advantage.
