About Payslip
Payslip is building advanced automation and AI-led products that improve how global payroll is managed. Its international teams include specialists across engineering, product, customer success, and other functions, all working together in a collaborative, ambitious environment. The company focuses on creating practical technology that tackles complex payroll challenges for customers around the world.
Role overview
Payslip is hiring a Business Development Representative to create new sales opportunities, connect with target accounts, and develop a strong qualified pipeline. This role offers the chance to work in a fast-growing business alongside Sales, Marketing, and Solutions teams while building a career in technology sales.
In this position, you will introduce prospective customers to the platform and services, manage first-stage conversations, and arrange quality meetings for Account Executives so they can move opportunities into discovery and the wider sales cycle. The role is especially focused on enterprise global organisations where payroll technology is a strong fit, with an emphasis on confirming real project potential and passing accurate, high-quality information to the next stage.
Key responsibilities
- Investigate target organisations to identify the right decision-makers and understand challenges connected to global payroll operations.
- Deliver tailored outbound outreach through email, phone, LinkedIn, and similar channels, adjusting messaging to prospect needs and market signals.
- Build, update, and qualify leads in HubSpot, with the goal of securing discovery meetings that match the company’s qualification approach.
- Draft detailed handoff notes and account context so Account Executives can conduct productive discovery and sales discussions.
- Work closely with Sales and Marketing to coordinate outreach with campaigns, webinars, events, and other warm opportunities.
- Assist with event-related outreach before and after industry or company events to turn interest into qualified opportunities.
- Keep CRM records accurate, monitor pipeline movement, and contribute to reporting that supports coaching and forecasting.
Requirements
- Between 6 and 18 months of experience in business development, sales, or a similarly high-volume outreach role.
- A genuine interest in sales and a desire to grow a career in software or technology.
- Familiarity with tools such as HubSpot, Apollo, LinkedIn, and Sales Navigator is an advantage.
- Strong research, prospecting, and account-planning ability, including identifying ideal customer profiles and relevant stakeholders.
- Clear communication and strong organisational skills, with confidence engaging many prospects while staying relevant and precise.
- Ability to perform well in a fast-moving environment and collaborate effectively with Sales, Marketing, and Solutions teams.
- Experience in cold outreach to both new and existing accounts.
- A proven history of working toward sales targets and performance goals.
- A degree in Business, Marketing, or a related subject is helpful but not mandatory.
Perks and benefits
- Join a fast-growing Irish SaaS company with an international customer base and global partnerships.
- Work with a multinational team across Ireland, Spain, and Bulgaria.
- Enjoy a Dublin city-centre office with modern facilities and monthly Sales team events.
- Receive a competitive salary and annual leave, plus an extra day off for your birthday.
- Access additional benefits from day one.
- Benefit from reduced working hours during the summer.
- Use a flexible working setup that supports work-life balance, with hybrid work between home and the Dublin office.
- Take part in ongoing professional growth, including 5 dedicated Learning and Development days.
- Have the opportunity to help reshape traditional payroll services.
