Cards Product Engineer

Role Overview

Virtusa is seeking a Cards Product Engineer in Dubai to work on card product platforms and integrations within a banking environment. The role focuses on product customization, interface handling, and collaboration with clients and internal teams to support credit, debit, and prepaid card systems.

Experience

• At least 5 years of product experience working with Way4, Vision Plus, or similar core banking platforms for credit or debit cards.
• Hands-on exposure to customization work, along with a strong understanding of product capabilities.
• Practical experience managing card-related interfaces and integrations across digital channels, online and mobile banking, IVR, ATM/CDM, and related systems.
• Direct client-facing experience is required.

Technical Skills

• Strong grasp of debit, credit, and prepaid product architecture, including customization layers.
• Experience applying best practices for handling diverse customization requests.
• Working knowledge of Oracle technologies, including SQL, PL/SQL, stored procedures, triggers, and functions, as well as other integration platforms.
• Unix shell scripting and report design experience will be an advantage.

Functional Skills

• Solid familiarity with core card banking systems such as Finacle, Way4, prepaid card management systems, and payment gateways.
• Good understanding of banking concepts and terminology.
• Experience following coding standards, security practices, unit testing, and documentation guidelines.
• Exposure to Agile delivery methods.
• Ability to help maintain strong technical and application architecture standards across the organization.
• Experience with card and payments gateways, including multiple payment methods.
