Role Overview

Qatar Airways is looking for a Catering Performance Specialist to oversee the performance of a set of catering suppliers and ensure dependable, high-quality service delivery. The role focuses on compliance with company standards, procedures, budgets, food safety, and Halal requirements while also acting as the link between suppliers and the Catering Services team.

This position sits within the Product Development and Design function, where the team works on innovative inflight products and passenger experience improvements. The role contributes directly to service quality, operational reliability, and financial performance across assigned stations.

Key Duties

• Manage catering supply across a group of stations as a key account, keeping costs aligned to budget and identifying ways to reduce wastage and generate savings.
• Monitor and improve service quality so that all catering activity meets Qatar Airways standards for food safety, Halal compliance, and operational performance.
• Build, maintain, and review contingency plans with stations to help maintain service during disruptions.
• Assess supplier performance using audits, input from internal teams, airport stakeholders, and guest feedback; track results and support the performance award process.
• Track, manage, and close variance reports for the assigned station group and share performance updates with management on a regular basis.
• Support the development and implementation of catering operational SOPs and service level agreements with suppliers.
• Work with caterers to develop onboard menus that reflect Qatar Airways’ style and food philosophy in coordination with the Food & Beverage team.
• Ensure suppliers receive the culinary and operational information needed to deliver meals according to onboard menu requirements.
• Protect the accuracy and integrity of Qatar Airways systems through audits, training delivery, and issue resolution based on stakeholder feedback.
• Take part in projects that influence operational or financial outcomes and provide practical recommendations to support successful delivery.
• Carry out other related tasks assigned by the Head of Department.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate should bring strong supplier management experience, a track record of driving results through external partners, and the ability to work effectively across functions. The role also calls for excellent English communication, strong prioritization skills, and the ability to operate well under high-pressure conditions.

The position may require extended travel as needed for operational support.
