Role OverviewThe primary purpose of this role is to meticulously count, check, verify, dispatch, and receive loads by physically inspecting stock. This includes processing and reconciling digital or manual invoices, handling POS payment activities, adhering to stock master processes, and actively participating in operational safety and inventory control routines.
Key Roles and ResponsibilitiesHealth, Safety, and Environmental Standards Adherence
- Maintain and adhere to 5S and site housekeeping standards.
- Utilize appropriate personal protective equipment as per site safety regulations.
- Comply with all safety and environmental requirements.
- Report and address non-conformities through designated platforms.
Effective Stock Quality Management
- Ensure warehouse stock age standards are met by applying First-Expired, First-Out (FEFO) principles.
- Conduct quality control checks on packaging on the warehouse floor and before loading.
- Implement effective inventory management and controls in accordance with governance policies.
- Perform accurate daily stock counts using a handheld device.
- Generate variance reports and resolve any discrepancies.
- Maintain clear and effective communication with Inventory, Warehouse teams, and other stakeholders.
Efficient Loading and Unloading of Vehicles and Production Lines
- Maintain clear and effective communication regarding load plan execution with Commercial, Credit, Inventory, and Logistics teams.
- Ensure all documentation is accurately and comprehensively verified and completed.
- Print, upload, review, and obtain necessary signatures for primary and secondary distribution load plans from Picker (if applicable), Operator, Driver, and Security.
- Process all internal stock movements (Transfers, Breakages, and Issues) within the ERP system, aligning with documentation.
- Perform accurate checking, loading, and unloading of vehicles, including actual counts on trucks to confirm quantities.
- Accurately record returns before unloading.
- Actively participate in stock deviation investigations, proposing improvements and mitigation actions.
- Be knowledgeable of relevant business information, policies, processes, and procedures.
Reporting
- Accurately capture and update the beer age and FIFO/FEFO compliance tracker.
- Actively monitor and report on the digital journey and stock master usage/adherence.
- Compile and track adherence to the Full Pallet Check Report and update BIT/Refusals daily.
- Ensure POS reports are accurate and complete.
- Proficiency in computer use.
- Familiarity with stock count digital devices is advantageous.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build good relationships.
- Capacity to perform effectively under pressure.
- Excellent verbal and communication skills.
- Adherence to good self-management principles.
- Ability to adapt to change effectively.

- Matric / Grade 12 certificate or equivalent qualification.
- A valid forklift driver license.
- Experience operating a double handler.
