Civil / Finishing Engineer

Role overview

This opportunity is for a Civil / Finishing Engineer to support upkeep, refurbishment, and finishing works across large-scale commercial and residential properties in the UAE.

What you will do

• Oversee day-to-day civil and finishing maintenance tasks, including carpentry, masonry, tiling, painting, plaster work, flooring, and façade-related activities.
• Inspect sites regularly, spot defects, and make sure corrective repairs are carried out effectively.
• Manage planned preventive maintenance activities and keep work-order processes moving smoothly.
• Drive renovation, refurbishment, and fit-out assignments while maintaining quality and compliance standards.
• Examine drawings, bills of quantities, and material approvals/submittals.
• Work closely with contractors, vendors, and internal teams to coordinate execution.
• Prepare snagging lists, technical documentation, and cost estimates.
• Follow all HSE rules and contribute to audit support when needed.

Requirements

• At least 5–7+ years of experience in civil finishing maintenance or building renovation work.
• Practical knowledge of finishing materials, construction techniques, and quality standards.
• Background in commercial or residential facilities is needed; UAE/GCC experience is preferred.
• A bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field is required.
• A valid UAE driving licence and access to a car are mandatory.

Additional information

This is an on-site role based in Dubai, UAE. The job sits within the Facilities Management, Construction, and Building Operations space. Compensation is an all-inclusive AED 6,000 to AED 8,000 per month, along with visa support and medical insurance for the employee only.

• Exposure to CAFM platforms and facility-management workflows would be beneficial.
• Professional certifications in Facilities Management or HSE are considered an added advantage.
