Role Overview

The Configuration Technician supports production-level logical setup and testing of equipment. The role follows detailed instructions from Engineering and works closely with other Supply Chain teams to prepare, configure, validate, and ship hardware accurately.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and prepare equipment for processing, including packing, unpacking, and moving racks.
• Inspect devices and accessories physically to confirm they are complete and correct.
• Apply labels and asset tags to products and cables for identification.
• Build and integrate hardware into network devices based on customer requirements.
• Install, upgrade, and verify equipment such as routers, switches, servers, wireless, voice, and video systems.
• Run hardware checks and resolve errors when needed.
• Support cabling, crate preparation, and shipment-related work.
• Record logs and prepare documentation for quality control and compliance.
• Take on additional tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• A diploma is the minimum educational qualification.
• Comfort using a handheld computer or device.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work with different warehouse management systems.
• Prior exposure to lab or warehouse settings is preferred.

Work Environment
