About the Role
A growing engineering and project delivery organisation is looking for a Contract Specialist to support major work across the energy, utilities, and infrastructure sectors. The position sits within the project delivery team and focuses on managing both client and subcontractor contracts through the full project lifecycle.
This is a project delivery-focused position rather than a pre-contracts role. It would suit someone who has developed experience in Contract Administration, Procurement, Project Support, or Project Controls and is ready to build a stronger career in contract management.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle the administration of client and subcontractor agreements during project execution.
- Prepare and track progress claims, variations, extensions of time, and contractual notices.
- Work with Project Managers to interpret contracts and manage contractual obligations.
- Maintain contract registers, project records, and commercial files.
- Monitor contractual exposure and support the development of mitigation actions.
- Review subcontractor claims and assist with payment reconciliation.
- Support contract close-out and the completion of final project documentation.
About You
Ideally, you bring 3 to 5 years of experience in Contract Administration, Contract Management, Procurement, or Project Support. Experience supporting delivery teams in construction, engineering, utilities, energy, or infrastructure environments will be highly valued.
You should be highly organised, detail-oriented, and comfortable reviewing and interpreting contractual documents. Strong communication skills are important, along with the ability to work effectively with project, commercial, and operational stakeholders.
Applicants from procurement backgrounds who want to move into contract management, as well as project support professionals who want broader commercial exposure, are encouraged to consider this opportunity.
A qualification in Law, Commerce, Business, or a similar discipline would be an advantage, although strong hands-on project experience is considered just as valuable.
What’s On Offer
- Opportunity to join a growing business with a strong pipeline of secured projects.
- A supportive team environment where you can expand your commercial and contractual expertise.
- Exposure to complex engineering and infrastructure work.
- Real prospects for long-term career growth.
- Competitive pay package and flexible working arrangements.
