Role Overview
Tata Elxsi is looking for experienced Control Software Architects to work on hybrid and electric vehicle control systems. This opportunity is aimed at professionals who want to contribute to next-generation vehicle propulsion and control development.
Position Details
Role: Control Software Architect (HCU/VCU)
Experience: 6 to 12 years
Education: B.Tech, M.Tech, or Ph.D.
Location: Pune, Bangalore, or Trivandrum
Key Responsibilities
- Develop control strategies for VCU functions such as torque management, energy control, and thermal management across different drive modes.
- Work on modelling, simulation, calibration, integration, and testing at the vehicle level.
- Use model-based development tools including MATLAB, Simulink, Stateflow, and Embedded Coder to build control software.
- Improve software behaviour for performance, efficiency, driving range, and NVH characteristics.
- Contribute across the full development cycle for HEV, PHEV, and MHEV vehicle systems.
- Evaluate vehicle dynamics, stability, and overall performance using both simulated and real-world data.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams across global locations.
Skills and Qualifications
- Strong understanding of hybrid and electric vehicle propulsion architectures.
- Proven ability in control logic design for automotive vehicle controllers.
- Experience with simulation-based development and system integration.
- Hands-on knowledge of MATLAB/Simulink/Stateflow and Embedded Coder.
- Capability to tune and validate software for efficiency, range, and ride refinement.
- Experience with HEV, PHEV, or MHEV development programs.
- Ability to interpret vehicle data and support engineering decisions.
- Clear communication skills and comfort working with distributed teams.
Eligibility
This role is suitable for candidates with 6 to 12 years of experience and a B.Tech, M.Tech, or Ph.D. in a relevant discipline.
