CT Radiographer

Role overview

Wythenshawe Hospital, part of Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust, is looking for dedicated and caring radiographers to join its CT service. The department handles a broad and demanding caseload, including a range of complex scanning work across three CT scanners. Plans are in place to expand interventional activity and to add extra scanning support for lung cancer patients through a dedicated lung cancer scanning unit.

Working environment

The CT team is described as approachable and collaborative, with staff working on a rota that covers seven days a week and 24 hours a day. The department is very busy and supports patients from multiple areas of the hospital. The successful applicant will work closely with radiographers, radiologists, radiology assistants and interventional nurses.

Main purpose of the role

You will be accountable for delivering CT imaging services that are safe, efficient and of a high standard. The post also involves supporting the development of others through supervision and training for junior radiographers, assistant practitioners, radiographic helpers and student radiographers.

Candidate profile

The trust is seeking someone with a genuine interest in CT imaging and some prior experience in an NHS CT setting. The role suits a professional who can contribute effectively within a large multidisciplinary team and who is committed to high-quality patient care.
