Cut Shop Associate

Role overview

As a Cut Shop Associate, you will prepare products such as countertops, doors, moldings, and related items to customer and store specifications. A key part of the role is keeping all cut shop tools and equipment in safe working order.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and look after cut shop equipment, including saws and dust collection systems, with a strong focus on safety and maintenance.
• Coordinate with customers, sales staff, and shippers so work orders are arranged and completed on time.
• Make sure anyone entering the cut shop follows the required safety procedures.
• Create custom wooden pieces for in-store use and product displays.

Qualifications

• A strong safety-first attitude is essential.
• Carpentry-related training is an advantage.
• At least 2 years of experience working with different types of saws, such as table, miter, jig, circular, and band saws.
• Strong attention to detail is required.
• Comfort working in hot, cold, and changing temperature conditions is expected.
