Role overview
As a Junior Consultant in Data Analytics, you will work in the area of Oracle Business Analytics and Enterprise Performance Management. The role is centered on turning large and diverse data sets into meaningful business insight. You will help clients define their analytical information needs, create suitable data models, ensure efficient storage, and provide reliable ways to query, analyze, and visualize data.
What you will do
- Work closely with client-side information needs, aligning your approach with business, technical, or scientific objectives, and use data profiling to assess the available data landscape.
- Build conceptual data models that organize information in a business-relevant way, then implement them using Oracle database technologies and, where needed, relational, multidimensional, hybrid, and NoSQL designs for big data use cases.
- Support data storage on Oracle databases, data warehouses, and data marts both on-premises and increasingly in autonomous cloud environments; implement performance management applications with Oracle Essbase and, if appropriate, open-source tools.
- Design reporting, analytics, and dashboard solutions together with the client, using the Oracle analytics suite, other tools already available on the client side, and open-source alternatives.
- Assist with data migration by profiling source data, designing ETL processes, implementing extraction, transformation, and loading steps, automating processes, and creating appropriate validation routines.
Requirements
You should have a completed degree in a relevant field and bring foundational knowledge in data management, data modeling, database design, reporting, and business intelligence. The role also expects strong communication, analytical thinking, documentation discipline, and willingness to work across locations in projects in Germany and abroad.
Additional information
The role focuses on Oracle Business Analytics and Enterprise Performance Management. The work environment is described as dynamic and innovative, with opportunities to contribute to digital transformation topics.
