Data Analyst

About the role

We are a fast-growing energy technology business that helps organisations across a range of sectors reduce energy use and lower carbon emissions using a blend of hardware, software, and data-led insights. As the portfolio of projects expands, we need a Data Analyst to support our existing analyst with the monitoring, analysis, and reporting that underpins our work.

You will work with live installations, tracking energy savings, usage trends, and system performance, then translate that information into clear, client-facing reports and internal updates. The role also includes joining client conversations to explain results, so being able to present data in a clear, confident way is just as important as the analysis itself.

What you will do

You will oversee project data for active installations, prepare reports for clients, and work closely with the projects, sales, and operations teams. A key part of the role is helping clients understand the outcomes being delivered for them.

What we are looking for

We are looking for someone who is analytical, thorough, and comfortable working across different teams. You should feel confident explaining information to non-technical audiences and be happy to speak with clients by phone or on a Teams call when needed. Backgrounds in energy, sustainability, or project-based environments would be helpful, but they are not required.

Skills & Experience

• Data analysis and reporting
• Advanced spreadsheet use, including pivot tables and dashboard creation
• Python for data cleaning, manipulation, and analysis
• Experience with visualisation platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools
• Ability to create and check regression models linking energy consumption with factors such as temperature, occupancy, and production volume
• Confidence presenting findings to non-technical stakeholders
• High attention to detail and strong data accuracy
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to prioritise and manage several projects and deadlines at once
• Experience in energy, utilities, or a project-led setting is helpful but not essential
