Deli Assistant

Role Overview

The Deli Assistant role is focused on preparing fresh hot and cold deli items to a consistently high standard, while keeping customer satisfaction at the heart of everything done in the deli area.

Key Duties

• Prepare customer orders across all fresh food counters, including assembling sandwiches and rolls, serving hot foods, and slicing meats according to the store’s portion guidelines.
• Cook, arrange, and present food items for sale throughout the day.
• Maintain counter presentation to a very high standard across all fresh food departments at all times.
• Handle customer questions and requests promptly, professionally, and in line with store procedures.
• Share product knowledge, recipe ideas, and personal recommendations to help customers choose quality food options.
• Work in a way that reflects the company’s core values: Proud, Energetic, Imaginative, and Community-Based.

Candidate Profile
