Role overview
This is a leadership opportunity based in Germany, posted on behalf of a partner organization that handles the application review and next steps. The role is focused on steering technical services delivery for enterprise software implementations across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, with a strong emphasis on public sector transformation programs.
You will guide globally distributed technical teams, set repeatable service standards, and help ensure implementation success through strong coordination with project managers, solution specialists, product development, and other cross-functional partners. The position combines strategic direction with practical technical oversight in a fast-moving international setting.
Key responsibilities
- Shape and implement the technical services strategy supporting customer implementations across EMEA and wider global operations.
- Manage, coach, and inspire distributed technical services, support, and maintenance teams to deliver consistently strong results.
- Build scalable methods and tools for data migration, software installation, deployment, and infrastructure rollout.
- Work with R&D teams to create integrations and interface components that support enterprise software delivery.
- Partner with technical and functional consultants to create training content and technical enablement programs for customers.
- Coordinate with project managers on deployment planning, rollout approaches, and decentralized operating models.
- Oversee support operations, maintenance activities, disaster recovery environments, and standards for data center implementation.
- Improve tools, implementation frameworks, internal processes, and service delivery practices on an ongoing basis.
- Maintain alignment across departments while protecting quality, consistency, and delivery timelines.
- Travel internationally as needed to support customers, projects, and business priorities.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in information technology or a closely related technical field.
- At least 5 years of experience leading globally distributed technical services or support teams.
- Strong project management background; PMI certification or an equivalent credential is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to create policies and procedures for support, maintenance, and service delivery.
- Practical knowledge of enterprise infrastructure technologies, including Windows, Tomcat, BIRT, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, and related systems.
- Experience designing enterprise deployment models, data migration approaches, and scalable implementation strategies.
- Familiarity with performance management frameworks such as OKRs.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and leadership capabilities for both executive and technical audiences.
- Additional IT certifications will be viewed favorably.
- Strong English fluency and willingness to travel extensively internationally.
