Johnson & Johnson also emphasizes an inclusive environment where every employee is valued as an individual and respected for their diversity and contribution.Role OverviewThis position is for a District Manager in the Haematology/Oncology sales team based in Cochin, Kerala. The role reports to the Zonal Business Manager and is focused on building business in the assigned territory, strengthening customer relationships, understanding territory potential, explaining the science and value behind the brand, and working closely with healthcare practitioners and internal teams.Key ResponsibilitiesGrow sales in the assigned area by meeting budgeted targets while following company policies and supervisory direction.Take ownership of the role and manage responsibilities with an entrepreneurial approach.Review territory sales plans every month and coordinate with the ABM/FH team for sales strategy support.Plan doctor coverage frequency and ensure visits follow the approved coverage plan.Assess territory potential and track market trends along with competitor activity.Identify, evaluate, and prioritize new doctors based on business needs and plan engagement activities for them.Use technology tools to improve field execution and productivity.Maintain the required daily average of meetings with doctors and with hospital pharmacy/purchase teams.Place distributor orders to maintain sufficient stock and meet market demand.Carry out pre-call planning to improve the effectiveness of interactions with healthcare professionals.Develop strong, long-term relationships with key opinion leaders and key business stakeholders through scientific interactions and the right contact frequency.Coordinate with medical affairs to execute scientific programs such as continuing medical education and to support marketing activities for the assigned territory.Collect and submit stock, sales, and related documentation accurately and on time.Prepare and send daily electronic reports covering field activity, doctor visits, pharmacy visits, and related updates to the Area Business Manager.Work closely with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth execution.RequirementsB.Pharma or B.Sc. is mandatory.An MBA will be considered an added advantage.At least 5 years of relevant experience is required.Strong working knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Office tools is needed.Experience in oncology is preferred.Exposure to the hematology market will be beneficial.Understanding of business and procurement processes is desirable.Additional InformationJob Function: Pharmaceutical SalesJob Sub Function: Sales – Oncology/Hematology (Commission)Job Category: ProfessionalReporting To: Zonal Business ManagerWork Location: Cochin, Kerala, IndiaEmployment Type: Full-time, onsiteApplication Note: Johnson & Johnson states that it is an equal opportunity employer and encourages qualified candidates who are passionate about the role to apply.Company Note: The organization operates in India through Consumer Products, Pharmaceuticals, and Medical Devices business units, with J&J IM focusing on unmet medical needs in areas such as oncology, immunology, neurosciences & analgesia, dermatology, infectious diseases, and metabolic diseases.Core Focus: The role supports disease awareness, education, access to care, scientific engagement, and customer coverage within the assigned territory.Required Skills Mentioned: Analytical Reasoning, Business Behavior, Clinical Experience, Cross-Functional Collaboration, Cultural Competence, Customer Centricity, Data Savvy, Developing Partnerships, Execution Focus, Hematology, Market Knowledge, Oncology, Pharmaceutical Industry, Pharmaceutical Sales Marketing, Problem Solving, Report Writing, Sales, Sales Support, Sales Trend Analysis, Strategic Sales Planning.
