ETL Test Engineer

Key responsibilities

• Create, refine, and run ETL test plans to validate data accuracy, consistency, and system performance.
• Partner with developers and data analysts to interpret requirements and translate them into effective test scenarios.
• Test data warehouse solutions end to end and verify that outputs meet quality expectations.
• Log defects, monitor them through resolution, and help ensure fixes are delivered in a timely manner.
• Look for opportunities to improve test design, execution methods, and overall QA efficiency.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline such as B.Tech, BCA, B.E., or B.Sc.
• Hands-on experience in ETL and data warehouse testing, ideally in the 4 to 9 years range.
• Strong analytical thinking and solid problem-solving ability.
• Comfort working with advanced testing approaches and tools.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in a team-driven environment.
• Experience building automated testing frameworks is an advantage.
• Good understanding of data warehouse structures and ETL workflows.
• Clear communication skills and a strong eye for detail.
