ജോലി വിവരണം
Role overview
Hutt City Council is seeking a highly capable Executive Assistant to support the Mayor in a busy and ever-changing office. This role sits at the centre of civic leadership and offers the chance to contribute to a connected, resilient, and inclusive Lower Hutt Te Awakairangi.
What the role involves
You will manage the Mayor’s diary, handle email correspondence, coordinate daily priorities, and help keep the office running efficiently. Working closely with the Office Manager and Senior Advisor, you will be one of the main contact points for the Mayor’s Office and will help create a professional, approachable experience for visitors, elected members, staff, and community members.
When the team is unavailable, you will step in with initiative and good judgement to respond to enquiries and maintain smooth operations. The role also includes supporting the planning and delivery of civic events and working with internal and external stakeholders to ensure engagements are delivered to a high standard.
What we are looking for
The ideal candidate will be an experienced Executive Assistant who is comfortable working in a high-pressure environment and can stay composed when plans change. You should bring strong relationship-building skills, excellent organisation, and the ability to anticipate needs before they are raised.
We are looking for someone with at least five years of experience supporting a Chief Executive, Mayor, or senior executive in a complex organisation. You will need strong communication skills, a high level of professionalism, discretion with sensitive information, and confidence in handling multiple competing priorities.
Advanced Microsoft Office capability, experience with CRM systems, and a current full New Zealand driver licence are required. A positive outlook, a sense of humour, and a collaborative attitude will help you thrive in this close-knit team.
