Fall Fellow

Role Overview

Whiteboard Advisors is hiring a Fall Fellow to support the team on a part-time basis, working up to 29 hours per week from September through December 2026. This is a paid internship designed for a current college student or a recent graduate who wants to build deeper knowledge of education and workforce research, advocacy, and communications.

As a fellow, you will contribute to policy research, writing, media monitoring, and event preparation. Because the firm is small, fellows work directly with senior staff and are given meaningful, hands-on assignments.

Key Responsibilities

• Investigate education policy topics relevant to clients and help prepare materials for client use.
• Track and summarize news, legislative updates, and guidance at the federal, state, and local levels.
• Prepare media lists, briefing notes, press materials, outreach pitches, memos, and presentation decks for both internal and external projects.
• Help coordinate events and support influencer engagement efforts.

Requirements

• Strong research skills and careful attention to detail.
• Clear writing ability and confidence producing polished professional content.
• Comfort handling multiple tasks and working efficiently in a fast-moving environment.
• Prior experience working remotely is preferred but not mandatory.
• A background in public policy, communications, political science, or education is preferred but not required.
• Interest in education across early childhood, K-12, and higher education, as well as workforce development, is preferred.
