Role Summary
This is a full-time, on-site position in Doha for a Fine Art Logistics Team member. The role centers on the safe movement, packing, handling, and installation of fine art and other high-value items. It requires careful coordination of shipments, accurate documentation, and strict compliance with customs and regulatory requirements related to artworks.
Key Duties
- Plan, coordinate, and execute shipments for fine art and related valuable objects.
- Arrange packing, crating, transport, delivery, and on-site installation activities.
- Prepare shipping paperwork and ensure all customs and regulatory formalities are completed correctly.
- Work closely with galleries, museums, private collectors, and internal teams to manage collections, pickups, and deliveries.
- Carry out condition inspections and maintain clear records of artwork status.
- Oversee secure packing and crating methods to protect items during transit.
- Keep inventory logs accurate and up to date.
- Support insurance, claims, and general risk-control processes.
- Track shipments actively and respond quickly to any operational issues.
- Contribute to ongoing improvements in procedures, handling standards, and customer experience.
Candidate Profile
Applicants should have a solid grounding in art and fine art handling, along with practical knowledge of painting and other artworks, including the sensitivity of materials, surfaces, and transit risks. Experience or training in fine art logistics, museum or gallery operations, or other high-value goods logistics is a strong advantage. The role also calls for research ability, precision in documentation, strong teamwork, and clear communication with clients, vendors, and internal departments. Physical capability for lifting, packing, and installing artworks is required, along with safe-handling discipline. Familiarity with shipment tracking systems, basic inventory tools, and standard office software is useful. Fluency in English is expected; other languages and prior exposure to Gulf-region or international logistics are a plus.
