Role Summary
This position sits within the housekeeping and laundry function at The St. Regis Abu Dhabi, a luxury property in Nation Tower, Corniche, Abu Dhabi. The hotel is part of Marriott International’s St. Regis brand, known for refined service, elegant guest experiences, and high standards of hospitality.
The hotel features 283 guest rooms, including 55 suites, with many rooms overlooking the Arabian Gulf and Abu Dhabi city. The property also includes the Abu Dhabi Suite, recognized as the highest suspended suite in the world, linking the two Nation Towers.
What You Will Do
- Support the Director of Housekeeping by helping drive the department’s strategic objectives.
- Take charge of daily housekeeping operations, including checks of guest rooms and common areas.
- Guide, coach, and train team members to improve performance and maintain expected standards.
- Make sure all housekeeping staff follow hotel rules, processes, and operational procedures.
- Participate in housekeeping communication meetings and help conduct them when required.
- Look into guest or operational complaints, implement corrective measures, and ensure follow-up until resolution.
- Carry out daily inspections of guest rooms, public spaces, food and beverage outlets, and office areas to confirm cleanliness standards are met.
- Identify rooms that should be taken out of service and work with Engineering, Front Office, and Butlers so repairs and maintenance can be completed.
- Oversee the use of guest supplies, cleaning products, machinery, and equipment, and follow up with maintenance contractors as needed.
- Organize and monitor stock counts for storeroom and supply items.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or GED-equivalent qualification is preferred.
- At least 2 years of supervisory experience gained in a luxury hotel environment.
- Strong knowledge of housekeeping standards, inspections, and operational procedures.
- Ability to train and mentor staff while maintaining quality and consistency.
- Comfort with coordinating across departments such as Engineering, Front Office, and Butler services.
- Experience handling complaints, corrective action, and follow-through in a hospitality setting.
