Overview

The House Services Team at Launceston General Hospital is focused on delivering outstanding cleaning services and maintaining a workplace that values diversity, safety, support, and respect for every employee.

Role Summary

This position supports the upkeep of a high standard of cleanliness across the hospital, its associated buildings, and surrounding areas. The work must be carried out in line with workplace health and safety requirements and infection control procedures, including correct personal protective equipment use.

Appointment Details

This is a permanent, full-time day worker role. The standard roster is 76 hours per fortnight, with commencement as soon as possible. Hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant.

For twelve months from the date of publication, this recruitment process may also be used to appoint candidates into future or similar full-time, part-time, and casual vacancies.

Salary and Packaging

The annual salary range is $59,668 to $65,185 pro rata, with an additional 12% employer superannuation contribution paid on top of the base salary.

The pay rate is aligned with the Public Sector Union Wages Agreement 2025.

Eligible employees may access salary packaging benefits, including living expenses up to $9,010 and meal entertainment up to $2,650 each FBT year, along with other available benefits.
