Housekeeper

Role overview

This full-time housekeeping position is based at Cornford House in Pembury, TN2 4QS. The post runs for 36 hours each week and includes working alternate weekends.

As the housekeeper, you will help maintain a clean, secure, and hygienic home environment at all times. You will work alongside the wider team to support a warm, positive, and caring atmosphere for residents and colleagues alike.

Your day-to-day work may include cleaning a resident’s room, tidying bathrooms, looking after houseplants, completing cleaning records, and carrying out other housekeeping duties with care and respect. The role is grounded in kindness, dignity, and attention to detail.

• Carrying out housekeeping tasks thoughtfully and respectfully around residents.
• Maintaining cleaning documentation and following established procedures.
• Working alternate weekends as part of the rota.

Requirements

Essential requirements for the role include compassion, strong communication, confidence using IT systems, and solid organisational and planning ability. You will also need a sharp eye for detail, a clear understanding of health and safety, infection control, and COSHH procedures, plus the ability to work on your own initiative and adapt to changing working hours.
