ജോലി വിവരണം
Role overview
This position plays an important part in a manufacturing setting that produces dairy-free items such as Sheese, Cathedral City products, and private-label retail brands. The role focuses on thorough cleaning and hygiene control after production has finished, so the lines and equipment are ready for safe use again the following day.
What the job involves
Once production ends, the work shifts to careful deep-cleaning across the production and packing areas. You will make sure machinery is powered down and secured correctly, break equipment down into parts, clean components using the appropriate products and chemicals, carry out some environmental checks, and organise everything so it can be reassembled before the next production run.
The shift pattern for this role is 6:00 pm to 2:40 am.
Key duties
- Carry out specialist cleaning across food production and packing areas.
- Take apart costly machinery and clean individual machine components.
- Put equipment back together and complete hygiene verification checks.
- Prepare the work area and equipment for production the following day.
- Pass on any equipment issues to the maintenance team.
- Work in line with strict policies and procedures to maintain high standards.
What you should bring
The ideal candidate will already be comfortable working in a setting where high-level hygiene and careful cleaning are essential. You should have practical experience in a production or food-preparation environment, understand hygiene expectations, and be able to work efficiently while following step-by-step procedures.
This role also calls for someone who can work independently, keep their own quality standards high, handle equipment on ladders, spot problems early, and respond to them sensibly. A solid awareness of health and safety is important.
Benefits
Employees are supported with a quarterly bonus scheme, pension contributions, an inclusive workplace, and a health cash plan that helps cover essential care such as dental and eye treatment. Additional support includes access to a 24/7 wellbeing app approved for NHS clinical use, life cover up to 4 times contractual pay, free parking, discounted branded products, and access to a staff benefits platform offering discounts, advice, and savings with major UK retailers and service providers.
Equal opportunity and support
The employer is committed to employment equity and aims to build diversity and inclusion into its operations, welcoming applicants from all backgrounds. Reasonable physical or non-physical adjustments can also be provided to support participation in the application and interview process.
Agency note
Recruitment agencies are advised that the employer works with a preferred supplier list where needed and does not pay fees or recognise unsolicited CVs unless the candidate has been briefed on the vacancy by the Talent Acquisition team.
