About the Data Team
Data sits at the center of Pave’s work. Team members play a cross-functional role and help shape the product experience and business direction. Within the data organization, the Insights pod converts Pave’s real-time compensation dataset into research reports, market indices, content campaigns, and data products that influence how the market understands pay.
This role is focused on helping scale data storytelling, improving support for customers, and creating a stronger measurement foundation so the business can make better investment decisions.
What You’ll Do
- Work closely with the marketing team to move data-driven ideas from brief to finished content, including analysis, narrative development, and rapid iteration across blogs, reports, social assets, and landing pages.
- Assist with Pave’s data products such as Pave Data Lab and Market Data through research, analysis, and one-off projects that keep the content differentiated and current.
- Serve as a knowledgeable point of contact for data and compensation questions from customers, prospects, and internal stakeholders.
- Create a practical measurement framework to understand which content efforts are performing well.
- Build strong expertise in Pave’s compensation dataset and turn complex findings into clear stories for audiences without technical backgrounds.
What You’ll Bring
- A marketing-oriented approach, with experience using data or metrics to support storytelling, growth, or marketing initiatives.
- Strong data storytelling and communication skills, with a track record of analyses that lead to new initiatives, product improvements, or measurable movement in key metrics.
- A bias toward impact, with the ability to focus on work that improves the product and strengthens the business.
- At least 2 years of experience as a Data Analyst, ideally in a customer-facing environment.
- Advanced data manipulation ability, including proficiency in SQL and Python.
Preferred Experience
- Exposure to compensation or labor market data, or a willingness to develop expertise in this area.
- Familiarity with data tools such as dbt, Hex, or Claude code.
- Experience creating customer-facing data products.
