Role overview
OK COOL is looking for a Junior Creative on a one-month fixed-term contract. This role suits someone who is naturally curious about culture, thinks first in social, and enjoys shaping ideas that come to life across digital platforms. You should be proactive, collaborative, and eager to keep learning while building your creative craft.
The position calls for someone who understands how online culture works, can translate insights into strong creative directions, and is comfortable working with strategists, designers, creators, and production teams. You’ll help move projects from early concepting through to delivery, contributing to content that feels relevant, platform-native, and effective for clients.
About the company
OK COOL is a culture-led creative agency with teams in London, New York, and Sydney. The agency focuses on social-first storytelling, combining strategy, creative thinking, and creator partnerships to help brands appear authentically where culture is actually happening.
The wider team is made up of strategists, creatives, and tastemakers who aim to shape culture rather than simply react to it. Their work spans insight-driven campaigns, always-on content, and paid social, all designed to help brands become voices people genuinely want to engage with.
Network
OK COOL is part of the Residence network, a multidisciplinary group of companies working toward a shared goal: building a strong creative ecosystem that supports emerging talent, encourages low-ego creativity, and strengthens community across its members.
What you’ll do
- Create social-first campaign concepts and creative ideas for a range of clients.
- Work with Senior Creatives and Associate Creative Directors to shape responses to client briefs.
- Prepare and present ideas, mood boards, scamps, and reference material to help internal teams understand the concept.
- Brief creators, designers, and production teams with Senior Creatives and ACDs so approved ideas can be brought to life.
- Review creator concepts, scripts, storyboards, and production treatments, offering useful feedback to strengthen creative quality.
- Partner with creative, strategy, account management, and production teams throughout the project lifecycle.
- Produce simple social content independently when a creator or full production setup is not required.
- Research trends, platform changes, and emerging creators to spark fresh ideas.
- Make sure all work supports client goals, brand guidelines, and platform best practice.
- Support on shoots when needed.
- Handle several creative projects at once while working to deadlines in a busy agency setting.
- Contribute positively to brainstorms, internal projects, and overall agency culture.
Experience and requirements
- 1–2 years of experience in a creative, social, content, or advertising role; agency experience is preferred.
- A portfolio that shows strong creative thinking and social-led ideas across digital platforms.
- Hands-on experience creating content for TikTok, Instagram, YouTube Shorts, or similar emerging channels.
- Prior collaboration with designers, creators, or production teams is an advantage.
- Strong concept development and creative problem-solving ability.
- Solid understanding of social trends, digital culture, and how platforms behave.
- Clear communication skills, both visually and verbally.
- Good organisation and the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
- Comfort giving and receiving creative feedback.
- Basic design ability in Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or Figma is helpful.
- A proactive, collaborative mindset with a positive attitude.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Genuine interest in culture, creativity, entertainment, and social media.
Benefits
- Birthday day off.
- Birthday voucher and card.
- Company pension.
- 25 days of annual leave.
- Bank holidays off.
- Christmas office closure for a festive break.
- £1,000 referral bonus for successful hires.
- Seasonal Finish Fridays, with an early finish at 3:45 PM.
- OK SCHOOL team training.
- Culture Club monthly team events and activities.
Working arrangement
This is a hybrid position based in London, with a minimum of two days per week in the office.
