Role overview

This position is for a Junior Full Stack Software Developer who will help build and support modern web applications. The role combines frontend, backend, and database work, with a focus on responsive interfaces, API integration, debugging, and maintaining reliable application performance.

Key responsibilities

• Create and maintain responsive web applications with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
• Develop interface elements and user-facing features using React.js.
• Support backend development and scripting tasks using Python.
• Use Node.js to assist with API connectivity and application-side development.
• Write SQL queries in Oracle Database for data lookup, validation, and issue investigation.
• Connect frontend applications to backend services through REST APIs.
• Troubleshoot defects, resolve issues, and improve code quality and performance.
• Apply secure coding standards and established software development practices.
• Work closely with senior engineers, testers, product teams, and business stakeholders.
• Take part in code reviews, sprint planning, and Agile ceremonies.

Required skills and qualifications

• Practical experience with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
• Hands-on exposure to React.js, including components, props, state, and hooks.
• Understanding of responsive design and cross-browser compatibility.
• Ability to create reusable, maintainable UI components.
• Working knowledge of Python for backend development, scripting, or automation.
• Familiarity with Node.js for backend services or API integration.
• Experience working with RESTful APIs and JSON.
• Ability to debug applications and handle request/response flows.
• Basic to working knowledge of Oracle Database.
• Skill in writing SQL for retrieval, joins, validation, and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with Git, Agile/Scrum, browser developer tools, and CI/CD concepts.
• Strong debugging, problem-solving, and secure coding awareness.

Nice to have

• Exposure to Oracle APEX.
• Experience assessing or guiding responsible use of AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot or LLM-based IDE extensions for coding, review, refactoring, documentation, or testing.
• Knowledge of application logging and monitoring.

Experience and working style

The role calls for at least 2 years of relevant software development experience. The ideal candidate should communicate clearly in writing and speaking, work independently with good organization, pay close attention to detail, and be comfortable with continuous improvement and modernization.
