Junior Project Manager

About the Role

This position is for a Junior Project Manager focused on structural steel projects near Cork, Ireland. The role sits within a growing company known for delivering complex steel packages for major industrial, pharmaceutical, commercial, and infrastructure developments across Ireland. It is a permanent, full-time opportunity offering salary progression based on experience.

You will work closely with experienced project managers and be involved in the practical delivery of projects rather than only desk-based coordination. What You Will Do

• Follow project timelines, milestone targets, and fabrication schedules to keep delivery on track.
• Act as a link between clients, consultants, design teams, production teams, and site staff to ensure information moves smoothly.
• Handle RFIs, technical questions, and day-to-day project paperwork.
• Assist with procurement tasks and keep an eye on project costs relative to the programme.
• Take part in project and site meetings and make sure agreed actions are completed.
• Develop effective working relationships with internal colleagues and outside stakeholders so projects continue progressing.

Workloads will vary from week to week, with assignments ranging from commercial developments in Cork to large industrial and pharmaceutical facilities.

Candidate Profile

The ideal applicant will have a background in construction, engineering, or project coordination, along with strong organisation and communication skills. You should be comfortable handling several priorities at once and interacting with both technical and non-technical people. A full driving licence is required, as site visits may be necessary.

Applicants with exposure to structural steel, fabrication, subcontractor coordination, procurement, or commercial support will be at an advantage. The role also values the ability to read construction drawings and other technical project documents.
