Role Summary

Harbinger is looking for a driven Logistics Coordinator to join the Logistics and Material Planning function in Garden Grove, CA. In this position, you will serve as the primary connection between internal teams and transportation partners across multiple service levels.

Key Responsibilities

• Work closely with material planners and buyers to build or refresh transport plans that can be shared with carriers for booking.
• Coordinate and oversee carrier networks for ocean, air, ground, and parcel movements.
• Verify that supplier paperwork is complete, timely, and compliant before it reaches carriers and customs brokers.
• Arrange shipments and monitor them from origin pickup through final delivery.
• Process claims related to shipments that are delayed, damaged, or missing.
• Raise urgent transportation delays whenever they could affect production schedules.
• Identify ways to cut freight costs, including consolidation opportunities and lower service levels, while tracking inbound and outbound logistics spend.
• Monitor carrier performance using KPIs such as OTIF and detention charges, and enforce accountability through reviews, meetings, and quarterly business reviews.
• Issue RFQs and RFPs for standard transport lanes as well as project cargo.
• Coordinate outbound logistics for samples, engineering and service shipments, RMAs/returns, and finished chassis or step vans.

Experience and Skill Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of logistics experience, including at least 1 year in international logistics.
• Strong Excel capability, including pivot tables and lookup formulas.
• Solid working knowledge of incoterms.
• Working understanding of the U.S. Customs and Border Protection import process.
• Hazmat training or certification is preferred.
• Vehicle shipping experience is preferred.
• Previous carrier-side experience is preferred.
• Experience using Oracle NetSuite is a plus.
• Familiarity with a transportation management system is a plus.
• Spanish or Mandarin Chinese language skills are a plus.

Compensation

California pay range: USD 80,000 to 100,000 per year.
