Role overview

The Logistics Specialist is responsible for dispatching drivers with assigned loads, handling overflow coordination, confirming hours-of-service compliance, and overseeing yard control activities. The role also includes directing trailer movements for shifters across the yard and within unload operations during sort activity that involves multiple shifters.

Key responsibilities

• Allocate loads across the feeder network nationwide in line with service requirements, transit timing, and sort-related indicators.
• Coordinate driver dispatch and manage overflow situations to keep operations moving efficiently.
• Review and verify driver hours of service.
• Supervise yard control duties, including assigning trailer movements to shifters in the yard and unload area during sort operations.

Required qualifications

• Solid working familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook.
• Strong accuracy in data handling along with fast input speed.

This is a permanent, full-time position based onsite in Adelaide, South Australia, Australia.
