Maintenance Assistant

Role overview

The hotel is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to support day-to-day upkeep across all areas of the property. The role covers a broad mix of general maintenance, decorating, carpentry, service work, and repairs, with the work described as varied and engaging. Applicants should bring a solid background in site maintenance, repair tasks, and planned preventative maintenance, along with a professional level of hands-on experience. Strong carpentry ability is preferred.

It would also be beneficial to have an electrical background, or at least practical knowledge of domestic electrical systems, including troubleshooting faults and carrying out installations. Experience in other building-related trades would also be valuable.

Key responsibilities

• Keep guest bedrooms and hotel areas in a well-presented, fully serviced condition so that guests arrive to a property where facilities and services are functioning properly.
• Handle guest requests quickly and effectively.
• Deal with guest questions or concerns in a timely way, while keeping the manager and Duty Manager updated.
