Role overview
This position is focused on turning cargo data into actionable insights that support both strategic and day-to-day decisions. The role leads analytics work from start to finish, collaborates closely with senior business stakeholders, and supervises a team of analysts. It also works in partnership with the Product Owner for Cargo Data to move data and insights into production. In addition, the role owns revenue budgeting and forecasting responsibilities.
Product ownership and quality standards
As the Product Owner for IATA Cargo iQ and associated quality frameworks, this role is responsible for setting the direction, ordering priorities, and reviewing work connected to the IATA Cargo iQ quality standard, the Delivered-As-Promised (DAP) performance measure, and customer- and service-specific standards.
Key accountabilities
- Deliver analytics outputs that are aligned with business requirements.
- Spot high-impact opportunities where data can improve business performance.
- Prepare the revenue budget and supporting materials at the required intervals.
- Prepare the revenue forecast and related supporting documents at the required intervals.
- Find opportunities to operationalize data and insights.
- Ensure Etihad Cargo’s IATA Cargo iQ certification is maintained continuously, including leading recertification activities and resolving findings or observations to keep the operation compliant.
- Manage all cargo offsets and keep them current and accurate, including Cargo iQ offsets under CDMP and customer/service-provider offsets under the relevant service level agreements.
- Work to strengthen the integrity of operational data on an ongoing basis and actively engage with internal and external stakeholders to build awareness, share knowledge across cargo functions, and support better operational performance.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with stakeholders inside and outside the organization.
Qualifications
Applicants should have at least 5 years of relevant experience in the airline or logistics sector, including a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory or management role. A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Aviation, Information Systems, Engineering, or a similar field is preferred. Practical familiarity with predictive modelling, forecasting, and optimization methods is also expected, along with strong communication, planning, and time-management abilities.
