About the Role
This position leads procurement, supply chain, and logistics activities for KSIADC. The role focuses on local content development, supplier management, warehouse control, and transport coordination to keep operations running smoothly and support project delivery.
Procurement and Supply Chain
- Design and roll out a local content procurement approach that supports KSIADC objectives and PIF expectations, while encouraging wider participation from local suppliers.
- Study the local market to understand industry benchmarks and identify sourcing opportunities that align with procurement goals.
- Set practical supplier evaluation standards so vendors are assessed against business priorities, quality needs, and performance targets.
- Develop long-term working relationships with local suppliers and key stakeholders to strengthen trust, cooperation, and industry development.
- Review supplier performance on a regular basis, including contract compliance, quality, and delivery performance, and drive improvement where needed.
- Maintain open communication with suppliers to address queries, resolve issues quickly, and support reliable ongoing partnerships.
- Build and update a supplier database containing qualifications, certifications, and performance records for future sourcing decisions.
- Introduce improvement measures that increase supplier dependability, operational efficiency, and supplier capability, while closing any identified gaps.
- Set up an efficient warehouse management process to maintain stock availability, accurate tracking, and proper storage conditions, reducing the risk of shortages.
- Supervise the receiving, unpacking, and dispatch of materials and equipment so orders are fulfilled accurately and on time.
- Put in place warehouse safety and security controls to reduce incidents, prevent damage, and restrict unauthorized access.
- Prepare logistics plans that coordinate material handling, transport timing, and site needs to improve efficiency and reduce delays.
- Coordinate with transport vendors to ensure dependable service, safety compliance, and timely movement of materials to project locations.
- Review site conditions and arrange material placement to keep items accessible and minimize disruption to operations.
- Record and report material movement accurately using proper data systems to support transparency and supply chain control.
Policies, Processes and Procedures
- Work in line with all applicable policies, procedures, and operating standards to ensure consistent and controlled execution.
- Assist with escalated issues and provide support to junior team members so work continues efficiently.
- Refer complex matters to the appropriate authority so cases are resolved correctly.
People Management
- Train junior team members on different job tasks to help transfer knowledge, where applicable.
- Guide junior staff or direct reports so they can carry out duties according to established policies and processes.
Education
- A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or an equivalent qualification is mandatory.
- A master’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent is preferred.
Experience
- At least 4 years of experience in a comparable role or an equivalent capacity is required.
