About Cedar

Cedar is a healthcare technology company working to make medical billing and care access easier to understand and more affordable. Founded in 2016, the company was inspired by a poor billing experience and has grown rapidly since then. It has raised more than $350 million, is backed by Thrive and Andreessen Horowitz (a16z), and as of November 2024 serves 26 million patients each year while being on track to process $3.5 billion in patient payments annually. Cedar works with more than 55 healthcare providers and payers, including Highmark Inc., Allegheny Health Network, Novant Health, Allina Health, and Providence.

Role overview

The Delivery team owns implementation of Cedar’s products and ongoing customer support. Cedar is looking for a Manager, Delivery Strategy & Operations to strengthen the operating system behind the Delivery organization. This role will oversee high-priority operational workflows that connect customer demand, capacity planning, cost transparency, leadership reporting, and daily execution across Delivery and related CX functions.

This position is well suited to an analytical, systems-minded operator who enjoys both building structure and improving it over time. The work spans strategy and execution, with close partnership across Delivery, Product, Finance, and other cross-functional leaders. A strong automation mindset is important, as the team wants this function to become more scalable, efficient, and less manual through AI, tooling, and better process design.

What you will do

  • Take ownership of key Delivery Strategy & Operations processes covering staffing, financial visibility, planning, reporting, and operational continuity.
  • Drive priority workstreams such as Jira infrastructure, data governance, staffing and cost modeling, and support for strategic planning.
  • Create dashboards, analytical models, and executive-ready materials that help leaders make stronger resourcing and operating decisions.
  • Work across Delivery, CX, Product, and Finance to strengthen execution and keep core operating rhythms running smoothly.
  • Spot opportunities to reduce repetitive work through automation, AI, and improved process design.
  • Represent and model Cedar’s values in day-to-day work.
  • Be prepared for up to 10% travel within the United States.

What we are looking for

  • A bachelor’s degree is required.
  • At least 5 years of experience in consulting or an operations function, or equivalent experience. Background in client services operations or client implementations is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, modeling, and problem-solving abilities, with the skill to turn ambiguity into practical recommendations and polished materials for executives.
  • Proven ability to independently run workstreams, coordinate stakeholders, and deliver reliably in fast-changing environments.
  • A systems-thinking approach and genuine interest in using automation and AI to improve internal processes and team efficiency.
  • Intellectual curiosity and a consistent drive to improve how things work.
  • Healthcare knowledge or experience is helpful; familiarity with patient engagement or revenue cycle topics is also a plus.

Compensation and benefits

The compensation range depends on location, experience, and education. In CA, NY, NJ, CT, and WA, the annual salary range is $136,000 to $160,000. In all other locations, the annual salary range is $122,400 to $144,000. This position is also eligible for equity.

Cedar offers a competitive benefits and wellness package. Additional highlights include unlimited PTO for exempt employees, with an expectation to take at least 20 vacation days each year; 16 weeks of paid parental leave with health benefits for all parents; flexible return-to-work schedules; diversity initiatives and employee resource groups; fertility and adoption assistance; 401(k) matching at 100% up to 3% of annual compensation; and access to mentorship, management coaching, and learning and development support.

Additional information

Most roles at Cedar offer flexibility to work from home or in the office depending on what works best, unless stated otherwise.

Cedar’s benefits begin on the first day of the month following your start date, or on your start date if that date falls on the first of the month.

The company’s employee resource groups include be@cedar for BIPOC-identifying employees and allies, Pridecones for LGBTQIA+ employees and allies, and Cedar Women+ for female-identifying employees.

This role may require travel of up to 10% within the United States.
