Strategic planning

• Build detailed plans covering fire prevention, detection, suppression, and recovery activities.
• Make sure all site operations align with fire-related legal requirements, policies, and standards.

Operational leadership

• Lead fire safety efforts across all assets and provide hands-on technical support.
• Carry out routine fire risk reviews to spot hazards and reduce the chance of incidents.

• Work with TNFRS and RTO for renewal of the Fire License, vehicle registration, and Fitness Certificate.

Projects and audits

• Support fire protection and detection projects in line with fire safety standards.
• Assist both internal and external audits by preparing schedules, keeping records ready, and coordinating with auditors.
• Oversee approvals for hot work and confined space entry.

Emergency management

• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders during emergency situations.
• Trigger the Emergency Management Plan to help bring the situation under control.

Knowledge, skills, and other requirements

• Strong understanding of fire safety, operations management, and project management.
• Sound knowledge of fire safety regulations and legal compliance requirements.
• Ability to lead internal teams and outsourced service providers effectively.
• Good organizational and coordination abilities.
• Experience working with TNFRS (Tamil Nadu Fire & Rescue Service) and RTO.
• Should be physically fit and health-conscious.
• Heavy vehicle license will be considered an added advantage.
• Open to learning, training others, and sharing knowledge.
• Strong team orientation with a continuous-improvement mindset.

Eligibility

Candidates with a Diploma in Fire and Safety Engineering or B.Sc. in Fire and Safety are eligible to apply.
