Role Overview
MakeMyTrip is looking for a Marketing Analytics professional at the Assistant Manager level in Gurgaon. This position reports to the Associate Director - Performance Marketing and sits within the GCC team, which is responsible for accelerating growth across the GCC region while balancing revenue expansion with efficient profitability.
About the Function
The GCC team’s mandate is to strengthen MakeMyTrip’s position as a leading online travel aggregator across the region. The team focuses on improving flight and hotel choice, maintaining competitive pricing, introducing useful new features, creating a strong customer experience, and deepening customer loyalty and brand affinity.
What You Will Do
In this role, you will use analytics to support marketing decisions, uncover growth opportunities, and help shape strategy through evidence-based insights. You will work closely with marketing leaders and teams across functions to define the right performance measures, build analytics structures, and improve marketing outcomes.
- Study customer behavior, preferences, and emerging trends to generate actionable audience insights.
- Build a strong understanding of the company’s goals, market landscape, and commercial priorities so that analysis aligns with business needs.
- Use Excel, SQL, and Python to gather, clean, and examine large datasets in order to identify patterns and growth opportunities.
- Prepare concise reports and automated dashboards that make insights easy to understand for leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Partner with other teams to implement new analytics platforms and adopt advanced tools that support consumer analytics and business execution.
- Guide and support a team of analysts by setting goals, encouraging collaboration, and providing regular coaching and feedback.
- Work with senior leaders to refine business strategy using data-backed recommendations and analytical input.
Qualifications and Experience
The ideal candidate should hold a Bachelor’s degree, such as B.Tech or an equivalent qualification, along with an MBA from a reputed institute in a relevant discipline. The role calls for 2 to 6 years of professional experience in analytics, data science, or consumer insights. Strong hands-on capability in Excel, SQL, and Python is expected, as well as familiarity with tools such as Adobe Analytics, Mixpanel, or Google Analytics. Success in this role also depends on strong problem-solving ability, careful attention to detail, comfort working in cross-functional settings, and a history of turning data into measurable business impact.
