Material Services Worker

Role Overview

BGIS is seeking a reliable Material Services Worker to handle site support tasks with a strong ability to work on their own and require little day-to-day supervision. This role supports clients and the building by carrying out services that fall under the Facility Maintenance Services Agreement (FMSA) whenever needed, requested, or assigned.

The position involves mail collection and distribution, along with shipping, receiving, warehousing, and logistics responsibilities. It is suited to someone who is organized, detail-focused, comfortable juggling several tasks at once, and able to manage physically demanding work in a healthcare setting.

Core Duties

All tasks are to be completed as required within the defined FMSA scope, including mail handling, shipping and receiving, storage and warehouse support, and logistics-related work.

Qualifications and Work Expectations

Applicants should have the level of mathematical and language ability typically gained by completing secondary school. Strong people skills are needed to build effective working relationships with clients, contractors, and internal staff. The ideal person will be a self-starter who can work independently, handle competing priorities, and adapt to multiple demands throughout the day.

Additional Requirements

The selected candidate must pass a security clearance. The role also requires the ability to lift heavy packages and work effectively in a busy healthcare environment.
